What is IR35 Complete™?
- IR35 Complete™ is an IR35 assessment and Umbrella PSL management platform; it gives agencies and end-clients an easy-to-use tool to make IR35 status decisions and to pass Status Determination Statements (SDS) through to relevant parties in the supply chain.
- IR35 Complete™ can be “white-labelled” under an agency’s own branding to enhance client relationships, and outside IR35 determinations can be protected through access to a panel of insurers that can provide cover on an agency-funded or a contractor-funded basis.
What is a Status Determination Statement (SDS)?
- An SDS is a formal document that outlines a contractor’s IR35 status and the rationale that was used for that assessment.
- The SDS must state if the worker would be an employee or officeholder for tax and National Insurance purposes if directly engaged. It must outline the reasons for that decision, and the end hirer must be able to prove they have taken “reasonable care” in arriving at the conclusion.
- To determine if an assignment is ‘inside’ or ‘outside’ IR35, it is necessary to examine both the contracts in the supply chain and the actual working practices.
Can I submit an assessment request before I have the worker’s details?
Yes, IR35 Complete™ allows you to send an assessment request without providing worker details and you can add them later at any stage by using the ‘Add worker’ functionality. The Status Determination Outcome report of the role will automatically get updated to include worker details once added.
Can I upload an IR35 Assessment completed elsewhere into IR35 Complete™?
Yes, the ‘Store Assessments’ functionality allows you to simply upload the assessment after entering client and worker details. Once the client details are entered and worker details provided, you will be presented with an option to upload the file and choose an assessment outcome.
Can I display my company’s logo when the assessment request is sent to the clients?
Yes, IR35 Complete™ can be “white-labelled” under an agency’s own branding. You can upload your organisation logo as JPEG or PNG files (with a maximum size of 5MB), to the IR35 Complete™ portal.
Can I dispute an assessment determination?
Yes, IR35 Complete™ provides a facility for dispute submissions for Inside & Outside IR35 determinations.
